Did You Dress Up as an Angel or Devil For Halloween?

Halloween weekend is over, but Halloween night is still too come. There were a lot of costumed people out and about all over Dallas this weekend. If you were one of them, what did you dress up as?

The many people that I saw this weekend would agree with me that Halloween did not end when we had to stop trick or treating, I think we just traded our kid costumes in for something a little more adult and we traded candy for beer and margaritas.

All of the Gloria’s Restaurants were rocking this weekend and there were some Angels, Devils and everything in between. Gloria’s Restaurants provides the perfect atmosphere for Halloween festivities because you can transform yourself and dance away your stress while sipping on something tasty and munching on some Salvadorian treats.

Just remember, Halloween in Dallas is not over yet and you better believe that we will be rocking (do we ever really stop?). Come out and have some fun with us, you can come in costume or in your suit if you are coming after work for happy hour. The party is at Gloria’s Restaurants waiting for you.

Another year of the Texas State Fair is winding down and I thought I would take a ride over to Fair Park last night and enjoy some of the fine cuisine. I have read all the food blogs, and seen all of the pictures on Instagram from my food friends about all the fried food, but what to have?

Gloria’s celebrates 2012 Addison Oktoberfest

It’s that time of year again folks! Even though it’s only September, get ready to celebrate Oktoberfest in Addison. 

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Oktoberfest. From September 20-23, more than 70,000 people will partake in the polka music, German food, and tasty brews. Gloria’s Restaurant is not known for German food, but our Addison restaurant is nearby and we love this event. Truth be told, we’re always up for a party.

Dallas Observer loves Gloria’s Black Bean Dip

This fall the Best of Dallas 2012 will be released, and to prepare the Dallas Observer is counting down their 100 favorite dishes. 

Gloria’s Restaurant is honored to have their black bean dip included in this list. As Mr. Scott Reitz described in his City of Ate food blog, Gloria’s bean dip as an “earthy, smooth puree with chunks of savory black beans.” He is definitely great with words, and he described it so well that we probably don’t need the above picture because everyone can picture it in their mind.

Celebrate National Garlic Day at Gloria’s Restaurants

Hold up, stop the press it’s that time again, National Garlic day all day April 19 2012. We know you’re excited, and why not, garlic is great, just check out some of our favorite dishes that contain this Allium.

The Huachinango Sarteneado, our pan seared red snapper and the Costa del Sol Huachinango our chili rubbed red snapper are set on a bed of rice with asparagus spears, served with a corn salsa and sautéed in a white wine garlic sauce that’s to die for. Top it off with our daily happy hour specials and award winning margaritas and it makes for the best National Garlic Day ever.

If your taste buds desire something else, you can order from the numerous dishes that contains onions, a close relative of the garlic bulb, on Gloria’s menu. Either way you go you can’t lose.

We were excited as everyone else for the Texas Ranger’s opening weekend, but we are even more excited for tonight.

Tonight is the night that we get to see Yu Darvish make his first start. The world and all of Gloria’s Restaurants will be watching.
