Gloria’s celebrates 2012 Addison Oktoberfest

It’s that time of year again folks! Even though it’s only September, get ready to celebrate Oktoberfest in Addison.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Oktoberfest. From September 20-23, more than 70,000 people will partake in the polka music, German food, and tasty brews. Gloria’s Restaurant is not known for German food, but our Addison restaurant is nearby and we love this event. Truth be told, we’re always up for a party.

There are many events going on this weekend within the Oktoberfest celebrations to be excited about. The festivities get underway Thursday evening with the official tapping of The Keg. I myself will be participating in German Idol (obviously the German version of American Idol) and possibly some Bier Barrel Bowling. Oktoberfest has something for everyone, including the kids. If they’ve learned any German they can get involved with the German Spelling Bee.

Although I might not be at the restaurant this weekend, we’re still open. If you find yourself knee deep in too much Schnitzel, come over and grab a cold Margarita and some of our tasty black bean dip.
